LEAN/SIX SIGMA MASTER BLACK BELT TRAINING
As Black Belts look for ways to expand their expertise, they often find that different avenues are available within their company. Some will focus on training, while others will become internal consultants to the current set of Black Belts and still others may want to concentrate on design issues. To address these different opportunities Air Academy Associates has developed a multiple path option for Master Black Belts. Any of the following courses may lead to certification as a Master Black Belt by Air Academy Associates.
Design for Lean/Six Sigma (DfLSS)
This 5-day workshop provides both design engineers and Master Black Belt candidates the methodology and tools unique to designing better products and services, faster and at lower cost. The course covers all phases of process and new product development from Scorecard and Voice of the Customer through Product Test and Validation. Other topics include Systems Engineering and Requirements Flowdown; Transfer Function; Design for Robust performance; Tolerance Allocation; Design for Manufacturability; and Product Capability Prediction. DFSS allows us to predict production and performance capability early in the development process and improve it, rather than reacting to poor production capability and performance after the fact. Attendees will receive state-of-the-art software designed specifically for this course.
Train-the-Trainer (TTT)
Many Black Belts will find that their primary responsibility is to train future Green Belts and Black Belts for their company. This 7-day workshop provides Black Belts with the skills necessary to effectively train people in Six Sigma methodology. Participants will learn the basic presentation techniques and Air Academy Associates philosophy that have made our courses so successful. In addition, they will practice their presentation skills and learn to evaluate their own performance in the classroom. Participants will receive guidelines, schedules, and course objectives for teaching the 4-week Black Belt and 2-week Green Belt courses.
Master Black Belt (MBB)
This 5-day workshop is an intense but exciting treatment of some of the most advanced Six Sigma tools and concepts currently known. It will provide the Master Black Belt candidates with an arsenal of knowledge and power to move their organizations toward greater savings and profitability. This course will blend theory with some very easy-to-use software that will make the applications of the concepts straightforward. These concepts and applications will be demonstrated via case studies, simulations, and exercises using the Statapult. Topics include advanced DOE methodology, historical and transactional data applications, high throughput testing (combinatorial chemistry), and multiple response optimization.
